Help us help others…

We believe that everyone has value and has something to offer.

Current opportunity:

Are you a qualified volunteer counsellor?

· Would you like to gain valuable experience in a values-led organisation?
· Would you like to gain further counselling hours to help you gain your accreditation?
· Would you like to access in-house training to expand your knowledge in areas such as Trauma-informed approaches, safeguarding and equality and diversity?

We are looking for:

  • Volunteers with a minimum of Level 4 qualification in counselling
  • Volunteers who can offer person-centred counselling
  • Available weekly (with breaks for holidays)
  • A counselling supervisor already in place
  • Internet connection and privacy viable for confidential sessions from your home if providing remote sessions (online or telephone)
  • Able to show a level of commitment needed for this type of role, we ask for at least 6 months
  • Able to follow Manchester Mind’s policies and procedures regarding safeguarding, risk and boundaries

We offer a robust volunteer experience for qualified counsellors, helping us to support more people who are experiening mental health problems. In this role you will have access to work with a diverse range of people, both face-to-face and remotely. We will also contribute to your external supervision costs and in-house group supervision.
