Mental Health is Everything: Supporting national Mind
02/05/2025

Manchester Mind is proud to stand with national Mind and local Minds across the country this Mental Health Awareness Week, as we join forces to share one simple but powerful message: Mental health is everything.
Mental health touches every part of our lives. It shapes how we feel, how we connect, and how we cope.
It’s linked to our physical health, our relationships, our work and our finances – and it’s there in both the everyday moments and the milestones that define us.
A healthy mind helps us see the world in colour. When our minds are cared for, life feels possible. Challenges are still challenges, but we meet them with strength. Joy doesn’t feel out of reach, and connection feels natural, not distant.
“Mental health has an impact on every area of your life. It’s your identity, how you see yourself, how other people perceive you, your motivation to get up in the morning. It affects everything” national Mind
But despite how important mental health is, understanding and support for it are moving in the wrong direction. A recent Mind survey shows that stigma is creeping back, and the system meant to care for us is struggling to keep up. People facing extra pressures – like poverty, discrimination, or racism – are often the ones left with the fewest options and the least access to help.
Right now, mental health isn’t being treated as the priority it should be by those in power.
This Mental Health Awareness Week (12-18 May), join us in calling in for change.
Together, we’re raising awareness and reminding everyone that looking after our mental health matters, now more than ever.
Share Mind’s campaign on social media throughout the week. And encourage your friends and family to do the same.
If you work for an organisation that understands that mental health is everything (or wants to understand better) and you need some help to take care of what really matters… your people, Manchester Mind can create a bespoke package for your business as your trusted mental health partner.
You can also donate today or take part in a fundraising event so Manchester Mind can continue to provide vital mental health services to those who need them.
With your support, we can build a future where no mind is left behind.
