This year is one of huge transformation for Manchester Mind as we leave our home of 35 years in Hulme to create a new base in the city-centre.
For us, the new building is an essential next step, but we can’t do this alone.
WE NEED YOUR HELP!
As demand for mental health support grows, so does our need for an accessible space from which to deliver local services, making it easier for anyone to ask for help. In recent times, 11,000 people reached out to our charity, which is 23% more than the previous year. This is why we are calling upon you to show your support when we need it the most – so we can be there for others, now and in the future.
The BIG move to the city centre will ensure we have a secure home for the future, creating a fantastic venue in which to deliver, develop and grow services for local residents. In the new space we will gain…
-
-
- A lovely warm and welcoming reception area – so important when people are stressed and anxious
- 10 confidential meeting rooms for 1:1 counselling and advice sessions
- A large space for groups and activity sessions – so we can offer more
- Space for more people to volunteer
- An improved place for people to work – encouraging greater collaboration which leads to better services
- Fully equipped meeting and training rooms that will be available to rent by local businesses and communities

We have been working hard over the last few years to secure this building and have a dedicated skilled team to help us achieve our vision of a welcoming space in the centre of Manchester. We believe we can have an even bigger impact by moving to this accommodation, which allows us flexibility in how we adapt the services we deliver as we embark on our next chapter.
Our building appeal aims to raise vital funds for the refit. The move to the city centre will be made possible with the solidarity and kindness of our supporters.
So, this month, please make a donation if you can and join us on this journey. However large or small, all contributions count!
You can opt in to receive updates as developments move forward. And anyone who pledges over £1,000 will receive public recognition. For those wanting to take on a challenge individually, or with their colleagues, take a look at our fundraising pack for ideas and inspiration.
Thank you for your commitment to our local charity and our future generations, who will need our support. As this new chapter begins, we’re building a better future for mental health, together.
