Our Town Hall: Manchester Mind Allotment Team

In the construction industry 730 people die by suicide each year, and this figure keeps growing.
Last Month our allotment staff and volunteers we invited to collaborate with McCrory Holdings, Lendlease at Our Town Hall and Rob Muldoon from The Mind Your Head Podcast to develop a campaign to raise awareness and help tackle the mental health crisis within construction.
We created hard hat planters to hang in the social/smoking area on the construction site at Manchester Town Hall.
Each hard hat contained a plant and a QR code that directs anyone who scans it on their phones to our website. The idea was that it would offer a discreet way for individuals on site to find local mental health support if they need it.
