This week we caught up with our long-term charity partner Vista Insurance, who’re bravely facing their fears in aid of our mental health services on 12 September…

What motivated you to choose Manchester Mind as your charity partner?
Mental health touches every part of life and Manchester Mind’s mission truly resonates with our team. As a local, independent charity supporting over 11,000 people, your work to challenge stigma and promote wellbeing aligns with our values. We’ve witnessed the difference your support can make. People who are struggling often feel isolated or unseen and we want to send a clear message: you’re not alone, it’s okay to be open. It’s important to us to raise awareness and show that mental health matters – in every workplace, industry and community.
How has the relationship make a difference to you team and business over the years?
Partnering with Manchester Mind has brought purpose and perspective to our workplace. It’s sparked meaningful conversations and strengthened our culture of empathy and support. This relationship has helped us grow, not just as a business, but as individuals who understand the value of mental wellbeing. Raising awareness has been key: it’s encouraged openness, reduced stigma and reminded us that mental health deserves space in every professional setting. We’ve seen how small shifts in understanding can lead to lasting change and we’re proud to be part of that movement.
The Vista daredevil skydive sounds exciting, tell us more!
On 12 September, ten brave ‘Vistonians’ will leap from 15,000ft at Black Knights Parachute Centre in Lancaster…all in aid of Manchester Mind. It’s a bold challenge that’s pushing us out of our comfort zones (literally!) and we aim to raise £10,000 to support vital mental health services. What’s made this even more special is the response from our team – out of 60 colleagues, 10 stepped forward to take part, far more than we ever expected. Their enthusiasm, courage and commitment to the cause have made us incredibly proud. It’s a powerful reminder of what can happen when people rally behind a cause that truly matters.
