Greater Manchester Peer Support Hub

We are excited to have received funding from Mind (national charity with whom we are affiliated) to develop a peer support network to bring together organisations and groups that deliver or want to set up peer support across Greater Manchester. Peer support can happen on a one-to-one basis, online or in a group and provides a space to share and support those struggling with their mental health. It may involve a range of activities such as crafts, walking or meeting for coffee.

Why get involved?

It is a chance to meet other mentors and peer support group facilitators, share resources and experiences, learn from each other, and be inspired.

This local Peer Support Hub provides:

  • free training workshops and 1:1 coaching for new or existing peer support providers
  • free network events to meet others and share experiences
  • small grants of up to £250 to setup or develop your group.

Accessing peer support online:

Due to the current situation most Peer Support Groups across Greater Manchester are now delivered online via Zoom.

For guidance on how to access these groups we have created two video tutorials.

For access via laptop/ PC

For access via mobile phone

Manchester Mind is still here for anyone who is struggling with their mental health, but now we need your support…

We have recently launched our Covid19 emergency food response appeal.

We are hoping to raise £10,000 so we can buy staple ingredients and equipment to provide over 1600 meals per week to those experiencing severe food poverty.

Every donation will help make a real difference to the most vulnerable people in Manchester.
