About Mentoring

Would you like to get out more or try new things? Perhaps you want to go back to college, be a volunteer, start work, try an activity, meet new friends or find out what is going on in your area.

Manchester Mind has a mentoring service for 15 to 25-year-olds that can help you get out more and find activities you would enjoy.

All mentors are young people themselves and you would be matched with someone who will help you work towards your goals.

Examples of what mentoring can help with

  • “I have moved recently and want to find out what activities are available in my area. I have a lot of anxiety and worry about going to a new place on my own.”
  • “I have stopped drinking but all of my old friends still get drunk all the time. I would like to meet some new people and make some new friends.”
  • “I have had PTSD since I was 16. Therapy has really helped and I would like to start a college course. I’m a bit concerned about the timetable and the new routine.”

I am set free in my head. I can now express who I want to be both here and when I’m elsewhere

Manchester Mind is still here for anyone who is struggling with their mental health, but now we need your support…

We have recently launched our Covid19 emergency food response appeal.

We are hoping to raise £10,000 so we can buy staple ingredients and equipment to provide over 1600 meals per week to those experiencing severe food poverty.

Every donation will help make a real difference to the most vulnerable people in Manchester.

Find out how you can get involved.
