Depression and Anxiety Course

Are you struggling with depression and anxiety? Do you feel anxious, depressed or lonely a lot of the time? Do these feelings stop you from doing the things you want to do? Do you find it difficult to describe how you are feeling?

Starting every Monday in June 10am – 3pm.

Dealing with low mood and anxious thoughts can often be distressing, confusing and contribute to people not being able to do the things they would like. Our experience is that connecting with other people who have similar experiences can be helpful and positive in gaining greater understanding.

Manchester Mind is developing a new course (initially) for people living in Hulme and Moss Side who have depression and anxiety. We want to support people to take part in a conversation with others who are struggling to manage their thoughts and feelings to:

● make sense of why you feel the way you do
● find new ways of taking control
● help you start to feel more hopeful
● help you begin to feel better about yourself
● be able to better describe how you are feeling

We know that sometimes it can feel a little bit daunting to try something new, so we will be ensuring that we make it a safe and enjoyable session where people can learn and connect. John is happy to have a conversation with you first to tell you more about what to expect.
