Children and Young People's Advice

If you’re aged between 15-25 years old we can give advice on: benefits, housing, work, studies, and debt.

We are still here to help. We are now offering support via phone, email and video call. If you need to speak to a member of our team please call 0161 221 3054 or email

Are you 15-25? Struggling with benefits, work, housing, studies, or money worries? Have things started to affect your mental health?

Through our advice/ casework and our Sorted project we can give advice on all the above plus appealing decisions, health, and your legal rights.

Sorted is a partnership between Manchester Mind, Greater Manchester Coalition for Disabled People (GMCDP) and Centrepoint Manchester.

The project works with disabled young people, homeless young people, and/or those young people who may be experiencing poor mental health, to support them through financial hardship crises.

Talk things through with one of our advisers and we can try and help you get things sorted.

The other area of our advice work provides support through our caseworker, who can help you with some of the practical problems that are making you stressed, worried or feeling like you cannot cope.

More about Sorted

Manchester Mind’s Children and Young People’s service is working alongside GMCDP and Centrepoint to provide young people aged 15-25 years with advice and support, which is responsive to their specific personal circumstances. The aim is to address the issues young people are facing, identify the underlying causes, assist with basic needs, improve their wellbeing and prospects for the future. It is funded by the National Lottery’s Help through Crisis fund.

We know that the lifting of all existing restrictions with regard to COVID-19 will for many people be a relief and be welcome, but for others it will be causing great anxiety.

As an organisation we need to ensure that we are managing these changes carefully and have a service update detailing how we will be responding over the coming months.
