Manchester Volunteer Advice Partnership (MVAP) Stories

MVAP volunteers

Manchester Mind is excited to be part of a partnership of five voluntary organisations, funded by the National Lottery Community Fund, to provide free training and voluntary placements to Manchester residents who want to volunteer in advice services.

We work in collaboration with partner organisations Greater Manchester Immigration Aid Unit, Centrepoint-Manchester, Manchester Refugee Support Network, Cheetham Hill Advice Centre, and Manchester City Council Homelessness Team to share knowledge in order to pursue our shared purpose.

Over the last 12 months we have been gathering stories from some of our wonderful MVAP volunteers and you can read their stories here

Manchester Mind is still here for anyone who is struggling with their mental health, but now we need your support…

We have recently launched our Covid19 emergency food response appeal.

We are hoping to raise £10,000 so we can buy staple ingredients and equipment to provide over 1600 meals per week to those experiencing severe food poverty.

Every donation will help make a real difference to the most vulnerable people in Manchester.

Find out how you can get involved.
