Peer Support Worker

Supporting people one to one and work alongside colleagues within the team and from other partner organisations, building kind and trusting relationships and ensuring people feel heard will be a priority.

We believe that everyone deserves to be supported in their mental health needs and we have a part to play in that. Now we have a chance of being able to extend access to mental health support by being part of the new Manchester Living Well Service. Working in partnership with Greater Manchester Mental Health Trust and other voluntary sector partners – this is a chance to make a difference. Manchester Mind will be hosting a number of posts within this team including:

Peer Support Worker

Working differently will be a key part of Living Well and lived experience within the service delivery is vital. As Peer Support Worker you will support people one to one and work alongside colleagues within the team and from other partner organisations, building kind and trusting relationships and ensuring people feel heard will be a priority.

Salary: £22,848 – £23,306

Hours: 35 hours per week 

The skills and knowledge that are important to us are:

  • Experience of building kind relationships where people feel heard and able to contribute.
  • Ability to work in a strengths-based way that recognises the potential for people to develop and enable resilience.
  • A commitment to working collaboratively to help bring about change.
