Finance Manager

We need a Finance Manager to help us be a well-governed charity that is financially sustainable.

Having well-managed finances allows us as a charity to focus on our charitable purpose.  We are looking to recruit a Finance Manager who wants to work in the charity sector and for an organisation that offers good conditions and flexibility, and to work in a way that is led by our values of:

We need a Finance Manager to help us be a well-governed charity that is financially sustainable.  You would be part of an experienced senior management team who have been successful in growing the charity over the last five to ten years.

Manchester Mind has been delivering a range of highly respected services for young people and adults living in the City since 1989.  We have gone some way to diversify our income streams. Our vacancy is for a 28-hour-a-week Finance Manager to help us to take this work forward. There is already a full-time experienced Finance Officer in post.

We offer excellent holidays (28 days pa rising to 33 (pro rata)), flexible working hours when possible, competitive sickness absence policy and a friendly and supportive team.

Position: Finance Manager

Salary: £40,057 – £45,173 (pro rata) dependent on experience

Hours: 28 hours per week

The skills and knowledge that are important to us are:

  • Accountancy qualification
  • Experience of developing financial strategies
  • Working collaboratively with staff
  • Willingness to lead on projects
