The YASP internet café, a relaxed and chilled out space for young people aged between 15 and 25, living in the glorious city of Manchester and dealing with life's challenges (sorry older people, you can get take out but not use the cafe space unless you are with someone using one of our services). You can use our computers for free (£0.00!); word processing or surfing the web all for nought and if you need to use some of our other services we can let you know how to do so.
The Café is open from 10am to 4pm on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Lunch is served around 1pm and is a good way to come and meet staff and volunteers (who often showcase dishes from around the world).
The menu changes depending on what we fancy cooking and what you fancy eating. We tend to cook two different options at least one of which will always be veggie. Sometimes we have tasty cakes!
Does you good
Did you know that what you eat can change your mood? Not only can good grub keep you physically well it can make you feel happier. See bbc.co.uk/health/healthy_living/nutrition/ for more info.
Fancy giving us a hand?
YASP is always looking for volunteers to help with the day to day running of the Café, particularly in the kitchen. We provide ongoing opportunities for young adults to learn new skills, make new friends, and build confidence and self-esteem whilst gaining experience of working in a busy Café.
