Mental Health Awareness

Our free awareness sessions are now fully booked until April 2018. We hope to have capacity to deliver more free sessions after this date. In the meantime, our experienced trainers can come to your school, college or premises to deliver sessions at our discounted educational institution rate. To either register your interest for a potential free session from April 2018 onwards, or to find out more about our paid-for sessions up to that date, please email training@manchestermind.org or phone 0161 769 5732 for details.

We also provide mental wellbeing training to staff working with young people. Please enquire for more details.

What are the Mental Health Awareness Sessions?

Manchester Mind can deliver free mental health awareness sessions to the students and young people you are in contact with. These 30 minute sessions are ideally suited to assemblies and youth groups but can be adapted for seminars.

What is the benefit of these sessions?

Manchester Mind knows that most young people will first confide in a friend if they are worried about their mental wellbeing. We are trying to train as many young people as possible to know how to respond and to offer support when this happens. We evaluate every session and can let you have the outcome scores for your records.

Where are the sessions delivered?

We have delivered sessions to over 3,000 young people in Manchester. This has been in schools, colleges, universities youth groups and community centres. Our sessions are free for 15-25 year olds in Manchester. We can deliver sessions where most of the attendees are in this age range and are Manchester residents.
