Food For All aims to address some of the issues around food poverty for people with mental health problems.
We run Pay What You Can sessions around Manchester, where workers and volunteers cook a meal for those in need. The meal is free, or people can make a small donation if they want to. We mostly use food provided by FareShare, which would otherwise go to landfill.
People not only eat a healthy and tasty meal once a week, but also have an opportunity to meet other people and socialise. They can become involved with preparing and cooking food for others if they want to.
We also support people into further volunteering opportunities at Manchester Mind and enable them to access other services that might be helpful to them.
